Located in Southeast Sulawesi, Buton is separated from Sulawesi mainland. It was formed by the endogenic force under the earth to push the carbonates from the sea uplifted into the land. The force made Pulau Muna, the island of Buton, now consists of thousands decorated caves, dry and wet caves. Mostly all the caves are consisted of speleothem then the water dripping in and made a cave system. It was formed by Wapulaka formation which are more than two million years ago.
